When you compare the candidates, the choice is clear.

The people of California's Fourth District have a clear choice this November. Take a look at the contrasts between Tom McClintock's record of putting partisanship first, and Jack Uppal's moderate solutions that put people first.

Tom McClintock's Record on Medicare

Picture
McClintock has voted twice to end Medicare as we know it, replacing it with vouchers that will not come close to covering the costs of buying health insurance, and will put seniors at the mercy of private, for-profit insurance companies. Our seniors deserve better.

Tom McClintock's Record on Jobs

Picture
Tom McClintock repeatedly votes against programs that would create jobs in our district, and his partisan, anti-government ideology prevents him from fighting to ensure our district gets its fair share of available resources.

Tom McClintock's Record on Gridlock

Picture
Tom McClintock puts party first, voting in lock-step with his caucus even against legislation that would benefit our district. He believes only in his narrow hard-line ideology. It’s his way or no way. No compromises – ever, resulting in gridlock where nothing gets done.

Responsible forest management programs and building out high-speed internet throughout our district are just two examples of programs that would create thousands of jobs and boost the economy in our district. Read more

I will work with everyone, regardless of party or ideology. Hard line politics must stop and give way to real bipartisanship if we are to create policies that get Americans back to work and our economy thriving again. That means putting our people first and doing what’s best for our country and our district. Read more
